What is a PF Registration?
PF registration is a mandatory registration for establishments having more than 20 employees as guided by the EPF (Employees provident fund) scheme, Employees’ Provident Funds and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. PF registration can also be voluntarily obtained by establishments with less than 20 employee in it.
The PF contribution set by EPF for employees and employers. is set to be at least 10-12% calculated upon the sum of basic salary, dearness allowance, retaining allowance. However, in Employees contribution cases this contribution may go up to maximum 20% if an employee wants to. Not only this, in a few cases when the existing number of employees are less than 20, may have to get the PF registration done as per the EPFo guidelines. As per the norms, Employees drawing basic pay less than Rs. 15,000/- are not required to make a PF contribution.

What is a ESI Registration?
Employee’s State Insurance(ESI) is a social security and health insurance scheme for workers. in India under the ESI ACT 1948. ESI Registration is mandatory for companies with at least 10 or more employees. As per the guidelines of the ESI ACT, 1948; the fund contribution is set to be 4.75% from employer and 1.75% from employees for all employees earning Rs… 15,000 or less per month as wages. Note that In some states, the minimum employees required is least 20 and more.
